Southern Baptist missionaries Norris and Judy Pierce are on mission in Panama. We are called by our Heavenly Father, lead by the Holy Spirit and our belief in the Lord Jesus Christ to serve in beautiful Panama. God is forever faithful. He is Jehovah Jireh and He will turn this church pavillion into a enclosed worship center for the Jebai Indian community.
The Ngobe Bugle Indian Children

Our Mission to serve and share the Gospel of Christ
On Mission
The first three months in Panama were incredible. We are amazed at the hand of God. His providence in times of searching for direction. Now our mission to the Ngobe Bugle Indians located in Jebai, Panama is our focus. Knowing the Word of God through understanding and acknowledgement of His Bible is the mission in the coming year. We are in the process of arriving back in Panama after our first three months of getting familiar with this people group, their culture and enviroment. We are living at the mission house in Las Lomas with Mrs. Elaine Willis who is in every sense the definition of a missionary. JP

Best made plans...our flight got cancelled on Tuesday and rescheduled for Thursday Dec. 9th. So we get to see everyone again on Sunday to give farewells.
A big thanks to George Martin who is driving us to the airport on Thursday at 3am. Thank everyone for your prayers. BP&JP
Many blessings to you Judy and Butch.
I am hoping you receive this email.
Doyle and I were the ones who sat in front of you Sunday night. I am humbled to be able to write to you and be a contact from Miss Julia's Sunday school.
She and Mr Don live right across the street from me. She has been and continues to be such a huge blessing to me. Doyle and I sometimes go visit them and we enjoy their companionship as our mentors in Christ and they are the best neighbors I could ever ask for.
I am honored also Judy to be part of your circle of friends. God is so awesome in how He cares for each of us.
I have a cell phone number it is a Washington State Cell phone
Here it is

You are more than welcome to call me.
I am learning of my spiritual gifts and I believe one of the most prominent is giving encouragement and another is mercy, I also think hospitality is another. I will let Julia know that I will be the Sunday School contact for you.
May Christ's peace and provision be with you and Butch.
May He give you both wisdom, and discernment and may His strength uphold you as you continue in His will.
Sincerely,
your sister in Christ,
Judy Chesney

Well looks like we are in a deep freeze and until the weather warms we cannot fly. Had to cancel the flight for Thursday and now we just wait before rescheduling...praying for warmer weather.Blessings and Merry Christmas to everyone. JP
We are now scheduled to leave on Thursday Dec. 16th at 6:20am arriving in Panama at 12:30...YEAH!!!
Today is January 29th and it is my sister's birthday. Happy Birthday Linda!
Please forgive me for not posting as I wanted to due to I have been very busy with moving into the Mission House and setting it up for Bible Study on Wednesdays and getting all the materials ready for the ESL. These began last week as introductory classes and since we only have 3 chairs (that were loaned to us) we switch them from room to room. We have no furniture so we are blessed to have wonderful missionary friends that are sharing with us their stove and pots and pans. Anyway I am uploading some pics from Christmas let me know if you like them.
We continue to go to Jebai weekly and we have had 5 professions of faith along with baptisms. God is so good and he knows we are in need of a safe vehicle to travel to Jebai weekly and we know he will provide. So far we have not had to spend the night in the mountains but if we did we feel certain our Lord would provide for our needs.
We are looking forward to a team from Ladonia Baptist to possibly come and build bunkbeds in three of the rooms in the Mission House this will sleep 16 folks, thats a good team. We are checking into the price of wood here and we think it possible to borrow or rent the necessary tools. Please be in prayer for us as we continue to reach out to the local community for the Bible Study and ESL classes. Many in our area are Catholic and that hinders them from wanting to particpate in the Bible Studies but many of them are interested in learning English so this is a wonderful opportunity to become friends with them.
May God bless our church family in Ladonia, we love you and miss you all. JP&BP
